Is the Siberian Husky
right for you???
The natural beauty of the Siberian
Husky is their greatest enemy.
Too often referred to as
"snow dogs" and sadly purchased
for their great looks and stunning
blue eyes....soon, families all
across the world realize this was
not the breed for their family. End
result, an abundance of Siberian
Huskies sitting in our local kill
shelters hoping to make it off death
row. Please, for the sake of the
Siberian Husky breed, research
first to determine if this is the right
breed for you.
The Siberian Husky is not the
breed for everyone. Siberian
Huskies were born to run, even as
young puppies. Regardless of
training, they should never be
trusted off leash outside of a
fenced in area. A loose Siberian is
soon to be a dead Siberian.
They are active and inquisitive, a
bored Siberian soon becomes a
destructive Siberian. Siberians are
known for their unique landscaping
(dig-dig-dig) and unfortunately, for
the bored and under exercised
Siberian, that too may include your
new leather sofa.
Siberians are well known for their
small prey drive which all too often
includes cats and sometimes
small toy dog breeds.
Last, but certainly not least, the
hair.....you will experience LARGE
volumes of shedding hair. While
routine grooming will help with
this, the "blow" is to be expected at
least once and sometimes
twice a year.

GUNNER goes back-to-back BOB in
FondDu Lac, WI. FAITH goes WB/BOS for
another point. She now needs only 2 point to
finish her Championship.

Siberian Husky Club of Greater Detroit
FAITH starts out her weekend with BEST
PUPPY IN SWEEPS (6-9 puppy class) and
then on to BACK-TO-BACK Winners
Bitch for TWO more 4pt majors along with
BOS over the bitch specials on sunday.
Faith now has 12 pts and 3 majors in her
first two weekends out at only 7 months old!!

Feb. 20-24, 2008
IKC Shows - Chicago, IL
FAITH's first weekend out at only 7 months
of age is awarded RWB (Thurs & Fri)
WB/BOW/BOB over 5 campaigning
specials (Sat) turning this 1 point entry show
into a 3 pt major win!!! And then on Sunday
she is again awarded WB/BOW. On Friday
GUNNER is awarded BOB.

Stanley goes WD/BOW (9-12 puppy class)
and Back-to-Back Best Puppy for a 4 pt
major win. He now needs 1 major to finish his
AKC Championship!!
Danica too had a great showing winning her
puppy class each day in the regular classes
as well as in sweepstakes.

She's Off And Running!!!
At her very first show at just 6 months of age
Danica goes WB/BOS over 15 bitches for
her first points and a 3 pt major at that!! Then
Danica went onto a Puppy Group 3 in the
special puppy competition.

Gunner goes back-to-back BOB and a
Group 3 in Greeley Colorado while Stanley
is awarded RWD to the major from the 6-9

Gunner is awarded BOB all 3 days at the
Duluth KC shows. Stanley is awarded
back-to-back-to-back WD from the 6-9 puppy
class for 4 more AKC points! His first two
show weekend and Stanley now has 8 pts.
